Summary: Kyuhyun doesn't have enough trust in his boyfriend when hears that Ryeowook was cheating behind his back, which leads to a big problem he's got to get fixed before something happens.
“Is something wrong, hyung?” Kyuhyun asked, panic arising inside of him.
“Not really, Kyu. But… has Ryeowook called you or anything yet? I heard what happened and I was hoping he’d be home by now, but so far he hasn’t come back home yet, and no one has heard anything from him yet. I’m really worried, Kyuhyun. What if something happened to him?” Jungsu exaggerated.
Kyuhyun heard the rain pick up and ran to his room. He grabbed his sweater and ran back out not a minute later. He rushed to get his shoes on and grabbed an umbrella. He opened the door and was about to head out when someone called to him.
“Yah! Where do you think you’re going?” Kangin asked with worry.
“I’m going to find him.” Kyuhyun answered.
“Are you crazy?! It’s thundering like crazy out there!” Donghae added, suddenly popping up from behind Kangin, along with a confused Hyukjae.
“I know, but-“
“Just let him go. You guys wouldn’t want Ryeowook to freeze to death out there, do you?” Heechul defended.
Everyone shut their mouths. Without anymore ado, Heechul smirked and gave Kyuhyun a nod. The magnae mouthed a quick “thank you, hyung,” before he ran out of the dorm in a hurry to find Ryeowook.
Kyuhyun knew he had to hurry before something could happen. He searched all over for his boyfriend. He was worried sick about Ryeowook. He knew it was his fault Ryeowook had gone missing. He’ll be willing to admit that he was sorry about what he had done to him, as long as he popped out right in front of him. He wanted Ryeowook back now. Kyuhyun didn’t want to risk anything happening to his hyung. It had been almost an hour, since he’s begun looking for the boy. He had no luck and felt like cursing God for making it so hard for him. But really, he was just making it hard for himself, for not searching harder. The rain got worse, and he had not taken a chance at improving his search.
He ran pass an alley and saw a small figure cuddled into a ball and shivering. He walked over to the said figure, and as he got closer, he saw the familiarity in the person. Finally, it clicked to him when he was only a few meters away.
“Ryeowook…” He mumbled, before dashing over to the cold boy.
Ryeowook looked up at the person who seemed interested in him. His eyes hurt from crying, making it hard for him to see. He looked away quickly, and closed his eyes. Whoever that man was, he only hoped he wouldn’t do anything to him. Nothing happened, and he looked up again. Surprisingly, the man was still there. He blinked a few times through the heavy falling rain, and then his eyesight came into full view. That wasn’t just any man, he noticed. It was Kyuhyun. This time he really panicked, and attempted at getting up. He failed though not even able to lift himself up halfway.
Kyuhyun saw this and quickly bent down on one knee to look at the pained male. He placed his cold hand against Ryeowook’s cold cheek, and the other flinched away from his touch. He never knew how painful it was to know that his own lover was now scared to be near him. He touched the cheek he had hit not long ago again and this time, Ryeowook stood still. How could I have hit something so beautiful like him? The one person who I loved? How could I have let those feelings carry me away so easily? Kyuhyun was filled with thoughts and guilt.
“Ryeowook… look at me.” Kyuhyun said softly.
Ryeowook didn’t comply with his request and stayed quiet.
“Please?” Kyuhyun pleaded desperately.
Ryeowook looked at him this time, tears in his eyes. Kyuhyun took this time to stare into his lover’s eyes.
“I-I… I didn’t do it, Kyu…” Ryeowook choked back a sob as he spoke.
Heechul was correct. Kyuhyun could now see that everything Ryeowook had said earlier was true. The saddening and paining look in his eyes was enough to tell him how honest Ryeowook was being. And it hurt, hearing how broken the boy sounded. He could see now, how low his trust was for the older male, and he hated that. He hated how he didn’t believe Ryeowook before. He hated himself.
Kyuhyun nodded and pulled Ryeowook into a tight hug.
“I swear I didn’t cheat on you…” Ryeowook cried.
“I know that now… I know, and I believe you, Ryeowook. …I believe you.” The younger one said with sincere.
“…I love you.” Ryeowook whispered, shutting his eyes as tears continued to fall and mix with the rain on his face.
“I love you too. I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you.” Kyuhyun replied.
Ryeowook let out a little laugh. Kyuhyun pulled away just slightly, to look at Ryeowook. They stared deeply into each other’s eyes so lovingly before Kyuhyun lowered himself, and sweetly placed his lips on top of Ryeowook’s. A few seconds later, he pulled away and placed his forehead gently against Ryeowook’s.
“I’m sorry for hurting you and I promise you that I’ll never mistrust you again. I’ve learned my lesson. Can you forgive me, hyung?” Kyuhyun said a bit breathless.
Ryeowook smiled before answering.
“I’d be too stupid not to forgive you after you’ve risked your life just to come save me from freezing,” he giggled, placing a chaste kiss to Kyuhyun’s lips.
"Right." Kyuhyun laughed. "Come on, you're gonna get sick if we don't get back very soon!"
"I'd rather get sick with this idiot right here." Ryeowook smiled.
"Whatever."
"How did I ever manage getting with you?"
"Awe, no way! You're not asking that are you?!"
"Well what if I am? I mean you're such a weird guy and ..."
They continued to bicker on their way home in the thick rain, under the umbrella.
"Kyu?"
"...Crap, now I owe Heechul hyung."
"What?"
"Nothing, never mind."
