My life has had its ups and downs. Currently in downtime, trying to crawl back up. Celebrated my birthday yesterday in a restaurant, and went to watch a movie today to remember what it's like to laugh at funny scenes

Ahhh no not you too. :c Thankfully I've been getting a liiiittle better just these last couple of weeks or so, but still. I think it is probably the overload, and the brain being unable to keep up. Either way, I hope you recover from it soon.

Hmm. I've never heard of them, but maybe I should check these books out. They do sound right up my alley, from what you say. Do you read the A Song of Ice and Fire books [the ones that inspired HBO's Game of Thrones series], by chance? I think you would probably enjoy them, given the themes you're describing. Thank you! I watched The Croods. It was not what I thought it was, but it still was a delight to watch, embarrassment aside for certain very stupid things the patriarchal caveman did. I'm now looking forward to watch Epic, which is due for release friday. That one has high potenital, I just know it.

Since I have been on hiatus for two years now, I don't think I'll recover anytime soon, especially with life having its ups and downs. Still, I hope to write again someday, hopefully soon.

You should try them then - they are a pure delight to read. I'll see if I can get the book you're talking about in the library - God help me find it in english in a country that's French by default! @x@

Ahh, I've heard of it but that's about all. I'll consider looking into seeing it at some point. I don't know what epic is, though.

I am going to make a note of it on my phone, and once I'm finished with the books I'm already reading, I'll try to find them the next time I head to the library. Also ASoIaF stands for A Song of Ice and Fire, the book series I was talking about. I actually have .pdf files for all five of them, and I could email them to you or something if you'd like?

Haha, just earlier this week I started a new fic, actually! For ASoIaF, of course. Fandom is going to need as many security blankets as we can get for the next episode. It's the one thing I've been most dreading since they started the tv adaptation.
