OKAY. So I know it's 9:19, but my computer froze up for almost an hour, and I had to spellcheck, and write up the details, and candy is distracting... Okay, that's the worst excuse ever, but it's still valid. Be quiet.

It isn't often that an Exorcist of the Black Order is given a day off--much less the Thirds, who are viewed by most as little more than tools. But today, a simple Tuesday morning of no particular significance, the five are set loose upon the world; each with varying degrees of excitement (or lack thereof).

It's just a nameless town they find themselves in this time, off the border of London, but the sun is shining brightly, and after all, they aren't here for a name anyway.

And there are flowers. More flowers than Tokusa can remember having seen for a long time; perhaps ever. It's for this reason that, when the group passes by a vendor selling an assortment of flowers, he stops for one. They're cheap enough, and when he returns, he wastes no time tucking a deep fuchsia daisy into Tevak's hair.

"There. Perfect."

It earns him a smile from the girl, and a glare from her brother.

The glare only makes him laugh and fall into step beside Madarao as they continue on their way, rather than intimidate him as it was most likely intended to.

"Was there a point to that?"

"Does there need to be?" Tokusa smiles, and tilts his head. "Or are you just jealous?"

Madarao frowns. "I merely disapprove of you...flirting with my sister."

"But I wasn't flirting, Madarao. You should know I only have eyes for you."

"...Hn."

And really, Tokusa hadn't expected much more of a reaction than that. He never does anymore, but that suits him just fine.

Fine enough that he isn't deterred in the least; bending down and scooping up a small coin off the ground where the glint had caught his eye. He increases his pace then, latching onto Madarao's arm with ease, and reaching up to dangle the coin in his face as he happily invades the man's personal space.

"A penny for your thoughts?"

Madarao merely stops walking, and uses his own hand to push Tokusa's away. "My thoughts are that you should stop acting like an idiot in public. There are people staring at you."

"But they always stare at me."

"Have you considered that perhaps that's a sign you should do something differently?"

Tokusa blinks, bringing a hand to his chin and taking a moment to pretend to be seriously considering it. Then finally, "Ahh...you do have a point."

"So you agree with me."

"I never said that." Tokusa grins, and Madarao sighs under his breath. "Now, what are you really thinking? Tell the truth now, or you can't have the coin."

Like he really needs it. But Madarao knows better than to point this out. "That you are obviously correct, and I am not. So I'm going to shut up now."

"That's much better," Tokusa praises him with a short laugh, tugging him down suddenly to press a kiss to his cheek.

After all, what does it matter if people stare?
