Cheating the System.

Some of you already know about this, most of you don't--the battery in my laptop is completely shot. It will. Not. Turn. On. Unless it's plugged in. And if it gets unplugged, it shuts down, and restarts.
Well guess what.
I fuckin' found a way to bypass it. Sorta.
Obviously, it doesn't work if it the cord gets accidentally disconnected while I'm using it, but...if I need to move somewhere, I can prevent the whole restarting BS. All I gotta do is put my laptop into Sleep mode, close it...and leave it closed for about five seconds. Then I can unplug it safely. And when I go to plug it in again...everything is there, just as I left it.
Shame it took me four months to figure this out. Coulda saved me a looot of angst, y'know;;? xD
