Happy New Year!
Starting off the new year right: five new images over at Girl.Art.Geek.
I love the clean slate feeling you (do you? maybe I shouldn't assume) get at the start of a new year. Picked up a new calender yesterday; it will be the year of the horse for me. I don't usually gravitate towards animal calenders (as most of them ooze cheesiness) but this one was tasteful/artsy so it got my stamp of approval. That and I didn't have much else to choose from...
Anyway the point is, I filled out that calender and am trying this new thing where I schedule art time. I am a firm believer in writing things down and getting them done (I could paper my walls with to-do lists). It's easy to squander an evening browsing the internet or reading so I'm trying to make myself accountable for my art by having a set time to do at rather than limiting it to the weekends. I want to harness that extra time I have and hopefully accomplish double of what I did last year.
So. Here's to a new year! (Cue the fireworks and champagne.)
