I woke up this morning with a small sense of saddness. The day after the holidays I always feel a little let down. First driving away from Sutton, then away from the rec hall with my Hare girls (and baby) still there. Always makes me a little sad. Okay, a lot sad. I can't wait until we live 20 minutes away and not 2 hours. Newmarket here we come! (hopefully!)
Christmas was great though. We had a lovely visit with Grandpa and got stuff sorted out for the wedding. A lot of questions answered on both sides. I can't wait to get married, it's going to be the party of the century!
Then we went off to Gravenhurst to visit my big brother and his wonderful girlfriend. They have the cutest new kitten and a whole REAL life there. They are renting this really incredible 150 year old house. Despite the floors making you feel a little drunk, it has beautiful high ceilings, old moldings, and an old fashioned porch that runs the length of the house. It's so great to see them settled and happy.
My parents place was the same as every year. Dad didn't cook the Turkey hot enough for fear of making it dry so we ate 3 hours later than he planned. But it's always nice to be there. Although, I do wish that my Dad was more at peace with his congregation and unfortunately we found out quite a bit of bad news this holiday. Although, some good news too. My cousin Christine (the one who got married last New Years Eve) is pregnant!! So excited for her! Plus I can start buying baby stuff for both Lisa and her. Yay!!
Hanging out skating and at the rec hall is always fantastic. It's so awesome to be in a situation with people you truly love and never feeling like you have to censor yourself. I love those Hare's (and Khuel's)!
Alright, that is it here from me. I have to send a couple of very important and long overdue emails today! (Megan and Jen check your email, I promise there will be something there by the time the sun goes down!) Oh and Sam, maybe I'll email you a reminder for talking to Margaret for me? Thanks again for that!
I hope everyone out there had an amazing holiday and have a very happy New Year! I was going to post pics but apparently I don't remember how so I'll work on that for later!
