concert madness!
Last night I took some friends to see Gitogito Hustler and the Spunks play in Spartanburg...they were so fun!! I made friends with the one in the red outfit and their assistant friend (That girl did everything! ran the memoriable stand, took pictures and a video of the concert, and even made sure the stage was set right! Later on I helped her translate what she wanted to say on a note for the stage...she didn't want the stage to be dark when Gitogito Hustler went on)...I told her that I had been to Japan and stayed in Tochigi-ken...and she said she's from Utsunomiya! So we talked a bit, and then I said I've also been to Kyoto, and that's how I met the girl w/ the red outfit, because that's her home town! So, I got all of them to sign a poster, and I got hugs! Aww, it was a blast.
I also talked to the blond-haired guy from The Spunks...told him I have a friend in Hawaii right now (because he had said something about Hawaii during his show). Lol, he said his grandfather was from Hawaii, not him XD He wasn't as talkative as the girls, but guess I shouldn't be surprised since he is a Japanese guy and all ^^() Anyways, got The Spunks to sign the poster too, lol
Now about the concert place...it was so weird! From the outside, it's this place in the middle of nowhere, and it's a run-down box w/ graffiti all over it. But when you go inside it has a whole lot of room! There's a dance floor, a movie projector (first they showed Batman Begins, then they showed the South Park Movie XD), and a bar...on the first floor! Then there's the bottom level, where the concerts are held, and it had two pool tables, and another bar, and of course the stage. Oh, don't think it was jumping, there was hardly anyone there at all! The parking lot (which was just a bunch of gravel, lol) had maybe 15-20 cars, and the people that came scared my friends XDDD
I also got a cd called Candy Poison Vol. 2...$5! yeah! It's a mix of bands, but includes The Punks and Gitogito Hustler, so I had to get it ^_^
