summer is scooting by real quick like it always does. the shoe store job is interesting, although six-hour shifts give me the worst cabin fever, worse than wednedsays in the villa. but there are the shoes to look at, and the anticipation of checking my phone at the end of the shift because no matter how slim it may be there is a chance that someone extra important may have called. as of yet, the dream has not been realized. doesn't bother me, i'll keep waiting. sooner or later i'll drive home from work listening to the soundtrack of a voicemail from some guy spouting confessions of undying love and the desire to have a bunch of kids and name them all after lost characters. this stellar imagination of mine is what gets me through the shoe store cabin fever.
