so my momma is finally here! went and got her at the airport and all. she was a trooper, all day. made it to 6:45 before crashing. took her to the cafe and grocery shopping, even made her spaghetti with meat sauce- she was impressed by my "branching out." haha, thanks?

anyway, i shall retell yesterday before i move on to the adventures of tonight. first, i began cleaning... my bathroom, kitchen, laundry, everything. fun and exciting, you say? well, actually, yes. i left my laundry to wash and walked into town to go shopping with annie and bought some souvenirs and the book "poisonwood bible" after searching 3 stores. it's slow going now, but i heard it gets way better. anyway, returned, unloaded shit and went down to move the clothes. and thats when a soccer ball was rolling in my direction and i, in one fluid movement stopped it with my left foot, picked it up and drop kicked it with amazing accuracy, warranting a "whoa" for all 7 boys. ha! made me happy- all without breaking stride. ah, i knew those years of summer soccer would pay off!

after having a delish potato, chicken and veg combo roasted in rosemary and garlic, we closed the night with some OC and sex and the city. i am so having a marathon when i get back so if anyone is in oregon for the first week after graduation and wants to join, you know how to get a hold of me!

so i ended up with just under 5 hours of sleep but since i had a weird zombie dream (zombies are what i fear most), i decided 6:30 am was a perfectly okay time to be awake. then the bus rides and the hub of not seeing eachother... blah blah. so, after my momma crashed in bed, i started watching this weird movie about the indian population in britain and it was about their arranged marriages from like a soap opera point of view... it was odd. and then fiona started to de-frost our iceberg freezer and that proved to be way more entertaining...

then keliko came over and we discovered the magic of the video recorder my mom brought. ah, the zoom on that thing was amazing, needless to say we spied on our neighbors a lot. and then... me, keliko, and fiona decided to go on an adventure. and it reminded me of the ones i go on back home and it made me so happy! anyway, long story short, colm (call-mmm) the wonder dog took a journey around galway at night, which soon turned into a narrated story about his drinking problems and his quest for god (aka the bronze oscar wilde statue). hahaha. i narrated, keliko video taped, and fiona got the pleasure of being colm's guide. oh, so funny. we even ran into tommy! what an awesome night. and now i get to go to bed and read my new book! hurray!
