I am less than a month away from being finished with Law School. (VOMIT!)
I have to write my "A paper," a 40 page paper of "Publishable quality" including a "substantial rewrite component" after having it examined by an advisor.
I have to edit my 8 page paper of non-law, touch-feely psycho-babble for Family Business Law Seminar.
I have to write a 12 page paper for Family Business Law Seminar, which I plan to do after interview the family which owns Holman's Funeral Services, the 78th oldest family business in the United States and located right her in Portland, Oregon. ('Spose I should ask if it's okay to do a case study on them!)
I have to take my Constitutional Law II final.
I have to take my White Collar Crime Seminar final.
I have to teach 3 more classes at Franklin High School and finish my "journal."
I have to work 1 more week.
(VOMIT VOMIT!)
I can't believe I'm so close to finishing... I've devoted the last three years of my life to law school and the prospect of finishing is thrilling and nauseating by turns.
I am sitting here writing a draft of my "A paper." It's a good thing that it requires a "substantial rewrite"! It is about restraining orders and discovery. And as I sit here writing, I am having a hard time with pronouns. I apparently have some sort of preconditioning to believe that the respondent to a restraining order will always be male, and the petitioner will always be female. I am trying to avoid referring to the respondent or petitioner as any particular sex and having a REALLY hard time without repeating "petitioner" or "respondent" several thousands times!
Oh well... Back to work.. 5 pages done - 35 to go!!
