My dear boy,
I was, amazingly enough, at home for all of summer. At least, that was my base of operations, as it were: Father employed me a lot of the time in one or another of his busineses, so I spent most days in shops or offices or travelling - getting a head for the way the world works, as Father put it.
I did grow, just a little. And getting out of the house helped as well, I think - at any rate, Mother bought me a new set of robes when we found out I was to become Head Boy, and they seem to fit as well as clothes should. I'm hardly the sort of chap that pays attention to such things, you know that.
Ernie.
P.S. Yes, I've noticed. The way you strut around the dorms in them I doubt even the blind would be able to skip noticing. They are very snug, aren't they? Hmm.
P.P.S. I was on rounds! Some of us do have duties - I'm sorry if you tried to find me and couldn't.
