Note to Messers Wood and C. Weasley

Aug 13, 2005 15:28

Dear Mr. Wood and Mr. Weasley - although I should probably be calling you 'Professors' now; my apologies for the lack of the honorific at the start of this note.

The name is Macmillan - Ernie Macmillan - and I have the rather spiffing pleasure of being Head Boy this year. As such, it behooves me to welcome you both on behalf of the student body to your new positions assisting and teaching us valuable lessons and skills for the life that lies ahead. I wager neither of you thought you'd be back at school so soon!

I've been remiss in welcoming you sooner, but it has been a busy start of term, and my duties have kept me from wishing everyone as well as I'd like. I hope you've both settled in and have had ample time to get used to the pace of things again. If you have any problem with any student, you can of course contact me - I would appreciate the 'heads up', at any rate, as student welfare is part of my role, or so I believe.

Good luck, and I look forward to seeing you round the halls of Hogwarts, and what wisdom you have to impart; if nothing else, my Quidditch ability and healing skills could do with as much help as I can get.

Yours Sincerely,

Ernest Macmillan,
Head Boy.
