One, I'm in the computer lab, right, getting linguistics drills from the internet (as after my class's quiz, the whole fucking class just stood outside the classroom and bitched about how everything was going too fast, and everyone was having the same troubles that I was). Anyway, the attendent is talking about how, like, she was watching Roger and Me in her class, and how some liberal started arguing with her when she was talking about how, y'know, like, corporations really have no obligation to the public or to their workers, and how people should stop wanting things taken care of for them, and that capitalism means fending for themselves, and, like, that's why we have a capitalistic society. I wanted to fucking throttle her, but instead just sat and thought about how the only thing dumber than an undergraduate liberal talking about politics or economics is a reflexive undergraduate conservative talking about politics or economics. Especially lit majors.
Second thing, I'm gonna be leaving on Sunday for a week (well, 'til Friday) in New Orleans on a journalism trip. Which'll be pretty fucking cool. Anyone got any ideas for things to do on my own? I'll have a digital camera and a laptop, so I may be updating here (you know, for the first time in months). If there's anything I should see or do, lemme know.
