Saw The Prince of Egypt for the first time last night on the Nostalgia Critic's recommendation, and SO SHOULD YOU.  RIGHT NOW.

Seriously, where has this movie been all my life?  It's fantastic!!  The animation is just beautiful (if you were impressed by the depiction of Notre Dame in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, you will love the beginning), the special effects were excellent (check out the parting of the Red Sea, holy cow), and the music... before I saw this, the score that Phil Collins wrote for Tarzan was my favorite animated film soundtrack.  But the job that Stephen Schwartz and Hans Zimmer did on this movie just completely blew everything else out of the water.  Just, go onto youtube and look for the music.  Right now.  No, just drop what you are doing, and go find it this second.  You will thank me.  My only regret is that I didn't get to see it sooner.

...Well, maybe not.  This originally came out when I was still pretty young, and it has some very depressing and intense moments, as anyone who knows about Exodus can guess.  Even children who know the story of Moses and are prepared for what's coming might find this a bit too much to handle, so I probably wouldn't let the little kids near this one.

P.S. Check out Baby Moses's face when Pharoah's wife first finds him in the basket.  He's TOTALLY giving her a "how you doin'?" look, I swear. XDDD

EDIT: WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS ISN'T ON ITUNES!!!!!!!!!!!! *froths* D:

nostalgia critic, as seen on tv, whoa, epic epicness, music
