Once Upon a Time in Toon Town
For some reason I've recently been on a major "let's revisit the cartoons of my childhood through their theme songs on youtube!" kick. Maybe it's because I like things that I only have hazy memories of and then when I find them again, they make me go "OH. EM. GEE. I TOTALLY REMEMBER THAT." Anyway, after I finished listening to all the standards--Animaniacs, Duck Tales, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers...--I decided to look for something that I really hadn't thought about in years. Probably closer to a decade.
So does anyone besides me remember Bonkers? ...Anyone?
Unlike with Animaniacs etc., I hadn't heard a word from anyone in my real life or on the internet about Bonkers in *AGES*, so I'm guessing it's fallen into relative obscurity since the mid-1990s when I saw it. It's a shame though, because I just wasted an hour of my time when I should have been studying to watch the pilot, and it's hilarious. Now I know why this is one of just a handful of things I have memories of actually sitting down and watching. There are plenty that I know I *did* watch, but if you asked me to tell you how I know that I did, I'd probably say, "...I just did."
Not so with Bonkers. I'm fairly certain that's because it was one of my favorites for at least a little while.
Oh, childhood, why did you leave me? T_T
Maybe I'll go find some Gummi Bears next. Or Once Upon a Forest.
