Semi-annual update
So I've drifted to other forums and am mostly active on FaceBook these days, and infrequently blogging at

Life continues. Seminary continues. I spend a lot of my time reading theology and church stuff, and petting the cat.
The chaplaincy praxis I was supposed to do last summer? I didn't. Withdrew from that after three weeks because it was going spectacularly badly, due to a perfect storm of complicating factors (some things I should have known better, some things I couldn't have known better but know better now, some things entirely out of my control.) Spent the summer recovering my sanity and working on my personal stuff. As you do.
Postponed starting my congregational internship (which I had been planning to start this fall) until maybe hopefully next fall. Still need to do that chaplaincy praxis; I have inquiries out to find an alternative to going back to the site where it didn't work out last time. I would rather make different mistakes this time around. In the mean time, I'm taking academic classes this year, so at least that's progress. Taking a break from preaching and other public church work for the time being.
So. I'll try to check in over here next spring some time, with another update.
