Not doin' it.

I am not taking artwork to Windsor Fair this year.

Not taking any photos because frankly I have not made the time to go through them, pick the best shots, crop and rotate as necessary, and then go to the Rite Aid and print them off and make sure I have mats and frames and phooey.

I've only finished three paintings this year. Two of them I just dropped off at the Natural Resources Council for an art sale this fall (this one's had a long lead time, for some reason) - I may post pix at a later time, after they've got them up on their site. The third one was for the members' show at KVAA this spring, and if I wanted to take it to Windsor I'd have to frame it (they aren't sure what to make of gallery edges) and I am too cheap to buy a deep frame and too tired to build one today.

So "Bread and Roses" is not going to the fair. If "Day is Done" doesn't find a buyer I might take it to the Fair next year - I tried twice to put a frame around "The Apple Shed" before figuring out it really wanted to go gallery edged.

At least I have a couple of string craft entries to take out to Windsor.

I would ask what the hell I've been doing with my time, but a fair amount of my time early in the year went toward tie dye, and this summer I've been fussing over my cactus collection. If I were messing with photos this year I'd do up some of the cactus shots I've taken - maybe next year.
