Today was a state holiday but not a general one, so I'd made Monty's annual vet appt. to avoid taking any additional time off work. Mox also had the day off.
On the bad side, Monty (aka LardButt) clawed the heck out of Mox's arm this morning while we were wrangling her out from under the bed and into the cat crate.
On the good side, we discovered where I'd stowed the $5 electric piano.
Monty is, per vet instructions, on a diet. Fourteen lbs 6 oz, the vet wants her down by at least a pound by next year. She also got her claws trimmed, which was becoming necessary.
This afternoon, Mox went skiing, and I overdyed some scarves that needed it.
I am full of music lately; the regular choir stuff, plus I got voluntold to join a couple of other folks for Special Music for this coming Sunday, and I volunteered myself for the women's chorus for an evening social event they call "Cabaret" to be held in March. I am sworn to secrecy as to exactly what we will be performing, but it looks like it's going to be fun... and some extra practice.
I have also been doing some needlework on a Very Seekrit Project that has a deadline of Sunday next. It is close enough to done that I am not panicking yet.
Tomorrow is a furlough day and I expect to be making a mess in the kitchen, since Mox will be at work.
I am once again planning not to grow tomatoes, but I may once again change my mind about that. I'm getting tired of messing with them, and think it might be a good year to take a break. Might grow beans this time. I didn't get any beans last year, but we are still eating of the winter squashes I grew, so at least there was something.
