What are you, Ted?

When Bryan and I first realized that I could be pregnant (pre-pregnacy test morning), I insisted hard that it was just impossible for that to be happening right now. So when those 2 little stripes came out of the preg test, I was just in utter disbelief. It was 5:30 in the morning, and my eyes were hardly open when I came out of the bathroom and told bry the test was negative. I went back to sleep and a few minutes later heard Bryan scream my name from the bathroom. I KNEW he was gonna complain about me leaving the test by the sink, so I shouted, "i'll clean it later", then he came out and said, "are you joking me? there are 2 stripes kaya!"

Bryan started talking to my belly (beer belly pa non) and said, "no matter what Pammy said before, we want you ok, you are WANTED". He repeated that the first few days because he thought the fetus heard me saying, "There's nothing there okay" and might feel unwanted, so we started calling him wanted, which eventually just became "Ted".

We all know about Bryan's dream of having 6 boys and since the pregnancy, he has OWNED it that Ted is a boy. Last week, on the night before my doctor's visit, this is what he said:

"Hi Ted, how are you? I can't wait to see you. I can't wait to bring you to the beach. We'll ride the jetski super super fast and we'll crash the waves and fall into the water! And then we'll go snorkling and race swimming. One day, you will be the fastest driver in all of the Philippines. We will ride our bikes with your brothers to tagaytay, maybe even to Baguio. Maybe you'll be the first F1 Filipino driver! We'll do really crazy manly things. All behind your mom's back!"

Then the next day, I went to the doctor and couldn't help myself and asked the doctor if she can make a guess what Ted's gender is. It's still too soon to confirm 100%, but she said Ted looks like a girl.

Bryan is still hoping.
