Hip-Hop Street Dancing as "Modern Dance?"
On the cultural front, after decades of deconstruction, dance seems to have entered an "is it art" phase. These guys appear to be trying to elevate hip-hop to a fine art. However, doesn't that violate the folk nature of hip-hop? Yet, it has happened to many other art forms--look what happened to jazz. Postmodernism is so boring in its failure
