A year in costuming...

Dec 25, 2010 21:56

And because I don't have a ton to say, I thought I'd make a fun post of costumes I made this year:

It all started with the black Polonaise and underskirt:

Then came Ali's gown for Pirate Faire:

And my own pirate coat (though there are no good photos of it!) which totally should have been flatlined with another fabric

After that, a bit of a break, and I made the Sailboat Skirt:

Which led to making up the same pattern in bronze taffeta, to create this outfit:

And an alternate overskirt:

Then came Christmas presents for Mia and Emily: 1700's gowns with cloaks, fichus and accessories:

And then finally, the Made In Four Days 1860's ballgown and petticoat:

And I wonder what I've been doing this year! Geez...

On tap for next year:
1780's Romantic period portrait gown
Regency gown (one for Ali, possibly one for myself)
1880's riding habit
Possible early bustle evening gown

We'll see what the new year holds!

Merry Christmas!!
