SAW THEM YESTERDAY NIGHT. managed to squeeze myself to front and center, but i gave it up. I felt that in order to enjoy the Strokes one had to be alive, and not the dancefloor for a giant 15 year old child and a huge crowd.
by the way, when did i get old?
Not that I was the oldest-there were MANY old people there...but there was a SHITLOAD of teeny tiny boppers around.
it kinda killed it for me up front.
oh yeah-i forgot that most people at concerts are ASSHOLES. these fucking idiots from westchester were assholes. luckily, i was able to surpass them AND piss them off.
let me say this...i have a new found appreciation for the Strokes. I don't think I'm the same Strokes fan as me two years ago at Central Park. I've definitely evolved with the band...more mature...more appreciative. I had a great time standing ALL the way by the bar in the back, more than I did at the front. Big deal, I've SEEN Julian & co. up front-I was so up close that I could see the hole in his pants. I decided to let another fan have their chance. And get away from the smelly freaky shits. Oh, and the "too cool" indie folks. Fuck ya'll :D
The ambiance was cool..Hammerstein is a cool venue. The lighting at the show was amazing. EVERY song was great-even those from FIOE.
Reptilia was amazing.
Room on Fire is really a fuckin' A album.
AN DI GOT THREE NEW STROKES T-SHIRTS-yayyyy for my new wardrobe lol.
Can't wait to see them again :)
