so i read amanda's LJ and saw her survey from last year and it inspired me to post my old one from 2004 and fill out a new one.

here's the old one

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? pump my own gas, drive by myself, uhh...cut bangs...sex with animals...the norm.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? my resolution was so make no resolutions since i always break them, so yes. next year...be happy with who I am (continued)
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Not this year, thankfully. The parents have gone on break -throws a party-
4. Did anyone close to you die? Knock on wood. That's what I hate about New Year's-I always hope no one passes away...
5. What countries did you visit? France, Italy, London again in 2 days, Puerto Rico, if that counts...and israel! yeah, looks like i got around.
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? Happiness with myself, a kick-ass wardrobe, control over my money, and great music.
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? April 14, 2004...the official date of me and rusky, although we've been together since '03. of course may 17 because i turned 17 on the 17th and finally got to drive...
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? uhh...i guess becoming a finalist for posse? norreally...ummm..being independent. and maintaining a boyfriend! OH! pulling semi-formal together! doing decent in school
9. What was your biggest failure? certain responsibilities, not getting along with my family, not being happy with myself. school.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? uhhh i was probably sick...i can't rmemeber at the moment.
11. What was the best thing you bought? my boyfriend. haha, joke. umm..my ugg boots, my black sweatpants, my striped bag from the gap.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? gene for standing my crazy family and dealing with my moodswings.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? The majority of America.
14. Where did most of your money go? food, clothes, and books.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Europe, Israel, oh Semi-formal was 2004! Dang, that feels like years ago!
16. What song will always remind you of 2004? Let's Get It Started/Retarded-Black Eyed Peas, that Eamon song, Take Me Out-Franz Ferdinand, Somebody Told Me-The Killers, all the Kevin Lyttle songs (catchy yet pointless) Gwen Stefani's songs...
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? i don't remember me in 2003...but I'm guessing happier. actually, most definitely happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? fatter!
iii. richer or poorer? poorer! i spend too much now that i drive
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Taking it easy, as well as taking school more seriously.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Bitching, crying, screaming, biting.
20. How will you be spending Christmas? X-mas was at Danny Ippolito with gene, reg, adam, and people..new years in london with reut
22. Did you fall in love in 2004? Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.
23. How many one-night stands? 366-with the same person. HAR HAR HAR-I hate headaches and stupidity.
24. What was your favorite TV program? Sex and the City. Dead Like Me.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Uh...no? I'm not a player hater, yo.
26. What was the best book you read? Dracula, Black Bird, The Great Gatsby, Cat's Cradle, Lives of A Cell (not)
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Phantom Planet, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Adam Green.
28. What did you want and get? A CAR
29. What did you want and not get? Get into shape. Better grades. cool clothes.
30. What was your favorite film of this year? uhh....Meet The Fockers was damn funny. I also liked Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Groundhog's Day even though that's old....I cannot think,
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 1777777-I think I went to school..but then after i went out to dinner with all my friends and my lurverr. i really had an enjoyable birthday-best one to date.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Better grades in school, better SAT grades,
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004? Back to comfort..and sort of vintage. oh, and low maintenance.
34. What kept you sane? gene, drewl, liz, my comfy jeans, the strokes, sex and the city, and adam.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? SJP. Barbra Streisand in Yentl!
36. What political issue stirred you the most? Gay marriage, even though it doesn't apply to me, and abstinence only policies taught in schools.
37. Who did you miss? my friends.
38. Who was the best new person you met? uhhhhhhhhhhhh...nicole ippolito? margy?
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004. Don't take yourself so seriously...life is meant to live, not to speculate over, love and be loved...value every moment because nothing lasts forever...cliches are a bad way to express yourself.
