Got an Eyefull

I was driving home from my parents' house into the setting sun.  The sun was in That Place where it is below the visor and you can't do anything to block it except to hold up a hand or try really hard not to look that way, which is difficult if you are headed west ( Read more... )

Current science does tell us that the sun's rays are no worse for our eyes during an eclipse than they are at any other time. We'll all be dead one day.

My eyes were going to be damaged anyway driving into the setting sun. I was happy to have an eclipse on my retinas to show for it!
