(no subject)
Yesterday I got a call at 7:30 am, got hauled out of the house, and down to Bancroft, Ontario
Aka the home of Fraser Lake Camp ♥
Most of you probably don't know the story so here's a quick fill-in:
Our 6th year, this summer, was supposed to be one to definitely look forward to
Why?
Because we were gona be staff.
FINALLY!
But.............
Our camp director changed this year
And this guy has no idea how shit runs up there.
and so.........
None of us got hired. (except Amy, but just as kitchen staff.)
AKA we were heartbroken
AKA Eric (director) must be kicked in the teeth.
So yeah - Lea and Devon ended up picking me up and we went there to visit
Talk about Happy Reunions ♥
I officially tackled. to. the. MAX. the following:
Steve
heard some random guy say his name,
peered around a van to be certain..
COMPLETELY CHARGED
while he realized it was me and dropped the shelf he was carrying,
giant POUNCE! and then came the watery eyes)
Ted
(me calling his name + charging)
+
(ted's jaw dropping when he realized it was me + charging too)
=
HEAD ON COLLISION! BAM!!!!!!!
+ accidental tuggage of his crazy hair in the process
Amy
all three of us see her,
she sees us,
i scream AAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!
like a mental person,
and then a huge colliding group hug took place ♥
Jordan
no collision was involved but he did pick me up and completely crush me when he was hugging me cause I am oh-so-small compared to him who is oh-so-big
So that was that
JESSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (also from FLC back in the day) came and picked us up and took us home
Way to go 140 on 80km/hr streets and then allllllllllllll the way home Jess!
We ploughed through everything in that freaking tank-truck.
Everyone at FLC freakin rocks more than anyone else because we know how to break it down ♥
To be honest though
It's true.
We are the world's wackiest people
- we usually get called "weird" but whatever!
We're freakin Nature Kids who prefer campfire to T.V.
We do the coolest skits, pull the coolest stunts, have the coolest ideas to entertain children with
and we stuff giant chunks of ice cream into our mouths with the same spoon
(oh and we feed it to each other too - can you feel the love?)
But through all the weirdness, we all have a deeper side
- and we can actually sit in a circle and talk about these things
even the guys. This is something I've come to realize and really appreciate
* FLC FOREVER BABY!!!! *
