We’ve all been working very hard on this production, so we invited some members of the press to come to our first dress rehearsal at the Gorilla Tango Theater. Sounds like they all liked what they saw! Here are some fabulous write-ups we’ve received, and some titillating photos by Joe M500!

Oh yeah, we’ve got dance numbers! Red Hot Annie as Maud, along w/ The Dude and The Gutterball Girls!

Chicago Reader says:
The local resurgence of burlesque often seems to be fueled less by leering demand than by a supply-side yearning for outlets for sexual expression. Vaudezilla Productions spares us both sides of the equation by linking up with another cult phenomenon, The Big Lebowski, in a production that's uproarious, absurd, and almost incidentally sexy. …read more!

You don't FUCK WITH Maria May I!

Being Totally Sweet in Chicago says:
The plan:

  • Watch the movie first. You watched it in college, I know. You can win prizes (triple digits-worth) if you know Lebowski trivia.

  • Dress like your favorite movie character. Not Jackie Treehorn, that's my costume. I've gotta get one more use outta' this white suit before Labor Day.

  • Yell loud when the ass and titties come out. Unlike every woman on the street, burlesque performers appreciate it when you applaud their physical assets. This is your chance to shine, creep.

  • Walter Sobchak is fair boner material when played by Wham Bam Pam.

  • If you can't get enough long-legged Lebowski ladies, go to the Diversey Rock 'n' Bowl on Sept. 14th and 15th.

  • Feel free to do a J before the show. …read more!

Bonny Babs and her ferret, Farady. THEY CARE FOR NOTHING

LeBlogski, the official blog of the Lebowski Fest, says:

With the exception of a 15 minute underwhelming performance at the now defunct Tangerine Nightclub (which was located inside Treasure Island, Las Vegas), I haven't had any exposure to the artform. That being said, these people have made a believer out of me. …read more!

Did I mention I’m playing Walter? MARK IT ZERO, DUDE!

We're still working, and the show just keeps getting more polished. It's been a real challenge for me to embody the character of Walter--a challenge I've thoroughly enjoyed. I can't wait to perform this show for all of you!
