(no subject)
I feel like I actually accomplished something today. I set my alarm for ten o'clock, got pulled back into bed and was told I wasn't done with snuggles.
Got up and made the birthday boy banana pancakes. I made some chocolate chip ones and some butterscotch ones, eggs and sausage too. Breakfast was good. Then I finished off Cordell's cake. He requested a Marvel cake, so it became Captain America's shield with Rocket trying to steal Iron Man's leg and Hulk smashing a guy into the cake while Groot sat on the ground and played with flowers. I was highly impressed with myself. So was everyone else :)
Did the prep work for the pizzas next. Made dough, sauce and cooked up some sausage, caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, baked chicken and chopped ham, peppers, artichokes, tomatoes, pineapple and spinach. That resulted in six damned good pizzas and plenty of happy tummies.
I also made trifle, that was tasty.
So Cordell had his birthday party. Amy and her kids were over, Ashley, me, Barry, Lee, Claire and Finn. Pizza was eaten, cake and candles, presents opened. Then Barry went out to help Lee fix the Explorer.
Now to catch up on tv.
