I love babies.
Last night I got to hold my nephew for the first time. It was...amazing. I wish I could think of a better word, but I really can't. He slept in my arms for about two hours, and I changed him a couple times and gave him his bottle. What a life, just sleeping and eating all day. =]
I really truly got to see how your life revolves around the schedule of your baby. Brian got out to my parents' at around eleven, but we were there until almost two. And Lucas still wasn't down for the night when we left. LeeAlan said he has his last bottle around midnight or one, and then he is ready for bed. But I put him in the crib last night and his eyes stayed wide open. lol. He has a machine you have to hook him up to while he is sleeping, so that you can know if he stops breathing. I know how to perform CPR on a baby, and I'm glad I didn't have to use that knowledge at all yesterday. I got scared for a minute, though, because I was in the bathroom and I heard the machine go off. Brian and my mom had been in the room trying to put Lucas down, and my mom decided to unplug him from the machine, so it went off.
Oh, and it was Brian's first time holding a baby. He was nervous at first, but then he didn't want to let him go. I really loved watching him hold Lucas. I can't wait until we have kids; he will be such a great dad. I'll post pictures as soon as I remember to ask Brian to send them to me.
