My parents and Juno
I'm so proud of my mom and stepdad. They have become alpha dogs in the pack. :) I am now reduced to playmate. :( She doesn't listen to me anymore! Okay, she listens a bit, but I'm her friend now.
Which is not so bad because she's around my parents way more than me because I work all day. :) I'm glad they're learning to not pamper her too much.
My stepdad is training her to be off the leash. We still haven't fenced up the yard, but she hasn't made attempts to run out of the house, and so far no dogs trying to get in. But we'll be covering the gaps soon enough.
Most importantly, she's learning that her space inside the house has boundaries. She's sitting in her usual spot without a leash! :) She made a few attempts to run inside the house, but has learned to recognise that she can come in the house but only as far as the corner of the living room.
This is awesome because if she starts running all over the house, she'll end up being an outside dog only off the leash. :( Our goal is to let her off the leash permanently.
