7. Have you ever helped someone find a job or had someone help you find a job from the LJ community?
No

8. Have you ever helped someone move / had someone help you move?
No

9. Been introduced to a mutual virtual friend / introduced someone to a virtual friend?
Yes

10. Given / been given a ride to/from the airport by a LJ friend?
No

11. What kinds of information do you usually share in LJ?
It's of a more personal nature than what I share on any other social networking site. Because I set it to default to locked, I feel freer to write more on LJ.

12. Do you feel that the information you share benefits others?
Some communities are built around the idea (like a community of married people who discuss issues particular to being married) and other times I think personal posts are helpful. 1 - they help friends feel connected to your life and 2 - they help people feel less alone if you're going through similar things.

13. How do you feel about the word "friend" being used at a verb in the LJ community (when adding someone to your network)? The word has emotional connotations even though you may not be actual friends when they are added. Do you feel that your "friends" on LJ are friends?
I only "friend" people when I do feel like they are friends or have the potential to become friends. Because I keep LJ more private than other sites, I'm more discerning about it. On Facebook, I friend people I just know - that I would never call a friend.
