It's been a while since I've posted, mostly because my computer was dead for a while, and I had to send it back to Dell. And my backup plan, the phone, has stopped letting me upload pictures for some reason. *sigh*
Today we spent driving all over Nashua after my doctor's appointment (no, nothing is wrong). We ate an early lunch in the hospital cafeteria (yes, I actually liked it, they had a great salad bar), and then headed out to find The Perfect Playground. It took a few tries.... the first one had a splash pad/sprinklers, but Jimmy wouldn't go in it because I wouldn't go with him (I didn't have a change of clothes!). He did, however, like the monkey bars!
The next playground we were at for about 10 minutes - most of which I spent picking broken glass up off the ground.... *sigh*. He still wanted to play, even though it was almost 1pm, so we tried one more playground, Greely Park, which ended up being REALLY cool. It was huge, had a nice playground, but mostly he spend time in the wading pool splashing and playing with the two big kids that were there. He loves the water so much!
Which brings me to our beach vacation, which was EXCELLENT. Just perfect for Jimmy - 80 degrees and sunny almost every day, not too windy, with a fairly calm ocean. We put a life jacket on him and took him out beyond the breakers, and he LOVED THE WATER SO MUCH. I'm so happy, because so do I! Jimmy also enjoyed playing in the sand quite a bit. He wants to go to the beach every day now. He also asks about Nana and Poppop every day now. *sigh*. He keeps saying he wants to go to Nana and Poppops beach house.... We (meaning my grandmother) rented a bunch of condos on the oceanfront at Debordeau Colony this year. Although I missed being in the same house as my brother and sister, it was nice to have the kids separated so they didn't wake each other up. Although Jimmy does sleep pretty soundly now. Maybe next year! It was also nice because there was a swimming pool and a playground, and bike trails. Tom and I rented a bike with a baby seat on it, and both Jason's family and my family got to use it - and Tom and I saw an alligator in the marsh!!! Tom and I got to go see a movie while my mom baby-sat, Men in Black 3 which was all right. The only bad spot in the vacation was that my grandmother had a heart episode one night and ended up spending one night in the hospital. That was pretty upsetting. But she seemed back to her usual self the next day, about as good as it gets for her at 93. I'm glad I went to go see her in the hospital.
Here are some pictures from the trip...

Oh, and just one more side-note. Jimmy is talking very well. He's still working on the "l" and "s" and "v" sounds, but has most others. He's working on past tense, and prepositions (he keeps telling me he's "waiting on line for the elevator") and on timing. It's so neat to watch a mind unfold! And, so much easier and more fun now that he can communicate!
