Drumlin farm and words

Oct 19, 2011 23:47

Went to Drumlin Farm yesterday for a class called trucks, tractors, and tools.. He loved it! He got a hay ride, and got to look at all kinds of tractors and attachments.

He's also been talking a lot more lately. We had a video chat with nana and pop-pop yesterday too. He stayed and talked longer than ever before. Although I think dad just about ran him off with his so called Chinese "instrument". That thing was worse than bagpipes! Jimmy just stood there shaking his head no. It was so funny. Although not as funny as when Jimmy was showing off his keyboard skills and nana and popop joined in! Jimmy also liked seeing the toy animals, he kept pointing them out when he saw them today.

He is learning new words most days. I left him with a babysitter today, and when I got back he was saying "read" and "bubble". Also, he's started calling me "mommy" now. Just so I don't forget, here's an inventory of what he says now. I expect it will change soon!

Words: read, bubble, go, mine, why, home, up, baby, more, milk, turtle, eat, grape, dip, mama, mommy, dada, daddy, nana, pop-pop, papa, bike, lawnmower, chichi (friend's nickname), mimi (I think he's saying Jimmy), bear (first baar, then beer, currently da ber), ball, coco (color or crayon, not sure), Train, dai (daiper), chair, hot, no, car, anana (banana), "I did it!" (from a book), there (dere), that, hi, bye, night night, uh-huh (yes or I don't know what youre talking about), yeah (cheh), shoe, all done, hello (hoow),and lots of stuff I don't understand!

edit: I forgot "boo", "I do" (yes), and he just started saying "I need" today.

Signs: down, bird, eat, more, help, helmet/hat/head, rain, where, hot, water, thank you, please, blow kiss, wave hello/bye, all done, milk

Sounds: meow, ruff (dog), choo choo, vroom, oo-ooo-oo(monkey), tweet tweet, roar, ding, beep beep, kissy noise

He also says random things. Apparently "gagoo" is a really funny word, and even funnier if I say it. I think he makes these thing up just to hear me say it!
