Jimmy is taking an incredibly long nap, so you get an update! It has been a crazy busy week, with one crazy weather shift! Fall is here!
Earlier this week we went to the beach. It was 80 degrees, lightly breezy, just perfect, although the water was pretty cold. Jimmy took a while to warm up to the unusual setting, but then he loved it! The beach was gorgeous - it reminded me of the Mediterranean. The beach was called Wingarsheek, and had a nice, shallow drop so little kids had lots of safe room, and there were also cool rocks to play on. Pictures!
Then, POOF! Almost overnight, it got cold. Here we are at the Farmer's market on Friday, just to show you the difference.
Also during this week, we went to Davis Farmland. Alessandra we there too, with Francesco. As usual, the animals were a big hit!
It seemed all the animals thought Alessandra's shirt was tastey!
And Jimmy got his beloved hay ride, where he spent most of the time up at the front, pointing at the tractor, alternately yelling "go!" and "more" if the tractor stopped.
Finally, yes, Tom was around this week, he just had to work during the day! Here he is playing ball with Jimmy, one of Jimmy's new favorite things. It involves yelling "ball" a lot, and kicking and throwing the ball. He can run now, too!
And also Jimmy has decided Tom is one of his favorite seats for TV watching. Note him looking around me to see the TV!
And yes, mom, we do try and limit it.
Oh, and I almost forgot! My garden produced the motherload this week! I had to pick most of the tomatoes because of the cold. This doesn't even include the garlic or the potatoes still in the ground!
Here's how it looks now, Tomato Monster bush and all:
Here's me with all my garden loot - this is only round two - I had a whole nother load before. Sadly, I put the cherry tomatoes on bottom. You can imagine what a mess that made!
Okay, that's it now! I swear! I think I hear Jimmy waking up, too!
