Things seem fine here, no tornadoes, just hail!
Tom had to go to a conference in Panama, so Jimmy and I went to see my brother and his family. It was an okay visit. Cindy is doing so well with her 6 month old! She's like an expert - I'm amazed. We had to be careful with Jimmy around Keagan - he still gets excited and hits. I have not figured out anything to make him stop hitting and biting. The time outs don't seem to be having much effect. *sigh* Eventually he'll understand what is not ok. He did enjoy seeing his cousin, though, and got to play with him some. Some pictures!
We also got to go see Tom's brother Bob and his family one morning. Anna is just 3 months behind Jimmy, and she loves people - so they got to play together with Bob some. Bob is just amazingly good with little kids. Here's a cute picture!!!
Anna is so cute. She's just learned standing and let me read her a book while she was standing in front of me. It was cute. Erin was less shy this time - she actually talked to me over lunch, even if it was just to ask for more chips. It was cute. It was nice to see how well she understood when I talked to her. I really wish we lived closer, so I could see her more often. It really helps with the shy kids. But maybe it will add up over time! Jimmy loved the two leftover dishes Gina had for the kids. I'm going to have to get the recipe for the chicken casserole.
My brother is so cute with his little kid. I got this adorable video of the two of them "talking", omg it was cute. Jason really knows how to make him laugh! Here's the link to the video, I uploaded it on Facebook:

Lauren came over and Keagan just loved her hat:
Lauren watched Jimmy for a while for me to - such an angel to do that! And Jimmy loves the attention. She's good with him. I don't know why, but I was soooooo tired when I was down there. I think the heat was getting to me some, but I also think it was just that Jimmy was sleeping so poorly, and taking forever to get to sleep. I don't think he liked sleeping on the crib mattress on the floor. He's been much better in his own bed at home! Oh, here's a picture of him in his new twin bed:
He LOVES the car theme of his new bedding! The first night he slept there, he kept jumping up to look at the cars on the pillows, and the new lamp, and point at the cars on the sheets. He was just crazy about it all. So cute!
Mom and Dad also came up while I was at Cindy and Jason's. I was just so zonked I forgot to get pictures. They took us out to eat at Jack Astors (mmmmmmm garlic bread) and Jimmy fussed so bad the whole time and refused to eat. I think it's his molars. They are STILL coming in and his gums are all swollen and red. I can't even see the corner of the tooth like I could before. Mom watched Jimmy a lot, and even took him outside on the swing a couple of times. He was so cute - she would say, come on Jimmy, and hold out her finger, and he would just take hold of it and go. He even gave her night night kisses! Dad flew his RC helicopter for him. Jimmy called him dada a couple of times - I think in the generic sense of "man".
I think he grew another inch or two at Cindy and Jason's house. He's now climbing on chairs and grabbing all sorts of things he couldn't before. I am so tired of the grabbing! At least he is curious. Also, I think he said, "kitty" and "baby" at Cindy's house. And I swear he said "tractor" when I was reading to him today! A friend left their old push lawnmower in the driveway for us, as a backup in case ours breaks again. He climbed on it and tried to ride it! It was cute.
I hope I get lots of sleep tonight. Last night was much better after we gave him some Advil. He slept in his bed all night, although I climbed in with him at about 4am, when he woke up. Hopefully we'll be able to go back to the night weaning this weekend!
