Finally back home! Feels good. Jimmy did fine on the plane - he even fell asleep for the last 45 minutes or so, and only a little crying when he woke up. I am so blessed to have such a friendly and happy baby. He did so much better at Jason and Cindy's this time - not like last time with all the screaming! I think he must have been teething or something last time, or was overwhelmed with all the new faces. This time he was just the life of the party, all smiles for Nana and Pawpaw and Grandma and Grandpa. We stayed with my brother Jason and his wife Cindy and their ADORABLE NEW SON Keagan for the first half of the trip, and then spent several days at Tom's brother Bob and his wife Gina's new house, with their two kids, Erin (2) and Anna (6 months). Their new house is fantastic! And it was so great to see my two little nieces - they are both so adorable!!! It's amazing how all three of my nieces and nephews have completely different temperaments. Keagan so far seems to be an easy baby. Cindy says he must take after Jason, Mom said he was much easier than me. Anna is very spirited and social, and Erin is shy and intense (but still sweet!). It will be so nice to see how they all grow up. I think Jimmy is somewhere in between spirited and easy, but really more on the spirited side. He is such a determined and tenacious little boy! But still he charms the ladies. So cute. I love seeing their little personalities emerge, and their faces go from baby faces to little kids - it's so nice! Erin has the most adorable pigtails, and she really takes after her daddy Bob. Everyone thinks Keagan takes after Cindy, but I saw his picture and immediately thought he looked like Jason.
Jason and Cindy seem to be adapting to parenthood well. Actually, Cindy is like an old pro, and Jason is hanging in there, learning on the job. It's fun to watch. Both have been baptized by "fire" so to speak - leading to several clothes changes! Keagan is still in that sleep a lot stage, but even so, I think he's way easier than Jimmy ever was. Time will tell! Here's a pic of the little nugget!
And I couldn't resist this one - so cute!
Jimmy enjoyed his first Christmas. He really got into opening presents! He got so many new clothes and cool toys! It was great! Mom was so excited with his Christmas pajamas, so here's a pic:
Tom's mom (Grandma) really went nuts with Christmas, which resulted in a lot of really cool toys for Jimmy. It was so exciting to see Jimmy and Anna interacting. They're only 3 months apart, so I hope they become good friends!
I didn't get a good one of us opening presents on my phone (it requires getting out the "big" camera, which will happen tomorrow, but here's a cute one of Erin having fun with her mom!
And of course, funniest pic of the trip:
Tomorrow, I will get out the "big" camera and post some better pictures!
