This has been a great Thanksgiving. I cooked a turkey, and it turned out okay! This was my first time hosting. We had guests: Dave and Judy Malcom, Peter, and Nalin. Judy brought the most delightful dishes - a squash and apple bake, a spumoni cake, and biscuits! I made the turkey, gravy, bread stuffing, green bean almondine, fruit salad sweet potato souffle, and chocolate pecan pie. And work (Harvard) gave us a pumpkin pie! Such wonderful things to eat! The company was wonderful, too! After dinner we played trivial pursuit while we waited for our tummies to settle, and after dessert we played video games - Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and Warhawk. In fact, Peter's still here playing with Tom! It's good to see them hang out. It kind of reminds me of when we were in college and all hung out together. I really miss not having any real computer geeks at my job. But I guess that's why it's work, right? Anyways. Thanksgiving was fun, the food was good, and the company was great.
Dave and Judy said they were going to put up their Christmas tree tomorrow! I don't think I can go that far, but I guess it's time to think about it. Saturday we're playing DnD at Dave's house, which has turned out to be massively fun. In our group is Robyn, Kara, Tom, and me, and Dave is the DM. But I might get a chance to run a game, so that Dave can play. We'll see if I'm any good without so many rough critics in the group. It'll be hard to beat Dave, though. He's rather good at it.
Well, I'm about beat. Night!
