Reposting a comment on the matter I've left elsewhere:

It's pretty much impossible to have an opinion on the matter at all without being a colossal douche.

"THIS IS A FASCIST NAZI 1984 TYRANNY FREE SPEECH WAH" crowd: in this thing called real life, things are sometimes more complicated than "does the law technically say you should be allowed to do this." The cost of a proper legal defense even if you're totally in the right can easily ruin people (which is basically why the RIAA gets away with its shit,) because Phoenix Wright doesn't just magically appear out of nowhere and do free representation every time you feel like Neer is oppressing you. That's even assuming that it gets far enough to be a legal matter, which this clearly hasn't. This is just business, and in business, AlertPay has every right to drop FA for whatever reason it wants, and FA has every right to decide cub art isn't as important as making AlertPay happy. In fact, it'd be pretty stupid of them not to.

"WOO CONFETTI HAVE I MENTIONED HOW MUCH I'M ANTICUB TODAY" crowd: you are insufferable dicks.
