While the rest of the world is busy celebrating The Advancement of Science with the first protons fired through the Large Hadron Collider, the top news story today in America, for some bizarre reason, is the Republicans throwing a tantrum over commentary they chose to be offended by.
The above video has already made its circuits on the news media and the Internet, but has our memory become so short that we’ve already forgotten the words, “How do we beat the bitch?” Are people really so easily distracted that they quickly forget a curious lack of outrage over a far more blatantly sexist comment? Where was the righteous anger when McCain joked about women getting raped?
That this got any news coverage what so ever is revolting. When a child throws a tantrum, you don’t reinforce this bad behavior by paying attention to them.
