It's been a rough few days. Having to leave hurt. Mainly because I know I'm leaving my mom alone for the first time. She and my father haven't been on good terms in months. And other than the Europe trip, it's the first time she's really without someone. I miss my grandma.
The last few days at home were pretty hectic. Friday was my sister's White Coat ceremony deal, and I watched half and then I went to work and got to ride through the car wash in Louis' jeep. Much fun. I got to chill in the car and tape for the entire time. I did some shopping on St. Marks and as I was walking over toward the bar, some photographer comes up to me and we end up doing an impromptu shoot. Really weird. And rather sketchy. Went over to the bar. Hung out with Orion while he made me amazing drinks and we chatted with his friends. Did not get my watch back. So Orion heads toward the men's room and whispers to me to wait a minute then knock. It satisfies my public addiction to fool around in a bathroom when there are lots of people outside it. I headed out pretty soon after.
Spent most of Saturday and Sunday packing and organizing everything. Monday was my last day at Fearless, and I spent most of it postering on my own, then getting press releases photocopied. Headed back home. Helped my mom get the seat out of the car and the mattress and some other stuff in. Tuesday was spent doing laundry, getting pots, packing last minute stuff and putting everything in the car. Went to sleep super early.
I woke up at 4:30 and I thought it was still night. I guess it was. Got dressed, put a couple more things in the car, got yelled at/in a fight with my mom about checks and left around 5:15. We drove for a few hours with some rest stops, then stopped off at a coffee shop in CT for bagels and coffee. Drove the rest of the way to Boston and attempted to find a parking spot. Got all my housing stuff settled and brought some stuff up to my room. I hate stairs. The RA seems pretty cool though and the building is just so beautiful. Even my mom loved it. Love it for $2000 more? Maybe.
Chuck and Paul came over to help move in, gods that they are. I spent a ton of time moving furniture and organizing and decorating. But my room looks awesome. I heart my room. Come visit.
So I didn't want to leave so I haven't eaten since breakfast and I'm really hungry and thirsty but I only have liquor and canned food but no can opener. Boo.
I spent 2 hours making my comp work. Boo.
Sleepy.
