Hi Paloma, Interesting proverb :) You are right to say that the best 3 players thrown together on a team will not necessarily guarantee King James his coveted Ring. But, as we've seen during the last 7 years in Cleveland when he was pretty much the "lone wolf" neither did his being the leader of the pack get him a Ring. As a Clevelander by blood though, I was and still am thoroughly disappointed that he did not either stay in Cleveland or go to MD's Nets, where MD and his henchmen would have, as Coach Avery J put it, "'given him the moon'" to ensure King James remained the trademarked lone wolf. In fact, I am surprised that Jay-Z couldn't do more to lure his "friend" LeBron-I would have thought the guys would have taken a friendly trip out to Cedar Point after meetings were done (instead of just jetting back to New York)! In fact, I was so bold as to send this suggestion on to Yours Truly in an attempt to give him a bit more of an advantage. Understand that I was raised in the same area (Richfield/Bath/Akron area-approx. 20 miles south of Cleveland) as LeBron and believe me, we northeast Ohioans LOVE going to our amusement parks-it would have been a neat perk, not to mention a different approach to get LeBron's attention if not consideration :) (MD and Jay-Z could have used this free advice of mine to their advantage instead of throwing themselves at LeBron just like the other teams). After all, we Ohioans are thrill-seekers by nature :) :) But on a much more solemn note, perhaps LeBron made the decision he made because he and Wade played so well together in the Olympics, and that maybe due to this they would perhaps, along with Bosh, be an unstoppable force together in Miami. Perhaps in order to win, as LeBron sees it, maybe the lone wolf strategy should be traded for the pack strategy. If this be the case, then nothing other than chammpionships for Miami will be acceptable from this point onward. Anything less for Miami would be downright embarrassing! Yes, MD has shown himself to be a gutsy, talented strategist and it's also no secret that "Lady Luck" has been with him for quite some time to ensure his successes. But he's not infallable, as we are seeing now. Not only did he fail to draft at least one of the 3 best free agents, he is also adding insult to injury by drafting players (like Outlaw) who are not and have not been all that impressive. From this point on, Avery really has his work cut out for him! MD is charming, but I think he really has some more NBA homework to do. The NBA is not the Euroleague and it sure as hell is not CSKA :)! I'm sure MD's blog-dogs fell over laughing at my mentioned suggestion as it was obviously thrown to the wayside not to mention unanswered, but knowing after what happened after using the same strategy as the other 5 teams of swaggering in front of LeBron with the same rehearsed wine and dine-type sales pitches, they're not laughing now. As the old saying goes, "' Pride cometh before the fall.'" Oh well, we all make mistakes. I truly wish our charming bull and his team the best of luck this season as well as the next few..they're going to need it if they are to win the coveted championship-only time will tell. And as for LeBron, like I said, only time will tell whether or not he made the right decision as the sky's the limit for him at this point. But either way, there are no guarantees in this life-you win some and you lose some. Tomorrow is guaranteed unto no one. Well enough yacking on my end for now :) I hope you are enjoying your weekend, dear friend :)! Take care and I'll catch up with you later! Happy Sunday :)
