A Visit From The Other MIBs
The Men In Blue, that is.
Just had the friendly neighbourhood police come and pay me a visit.
Apparently, I somehow managed to pocket dial 911. It doesn't show in the call log on my cell phone, but the cops said that's not unusual.
I was confused because I got a call from "Unknown Number" about 10 minutes before. As it was unknown, I didn't answer it. Pay As You Go minutes are EXPENSIVE.
Turns out that was 911 calling me back to confirm. Since there was no answer, a patrol was dispatched.
They were quite friendly. They checked my ID to make sure I was the person the phone belonged to, and took a poke around the house just to make sure there weren't any dead bodies.
Interestingly enough, if I had been hiding a dead body, they wouldn't have found it. It was a VERY cursory look, didn't even step into the bedrooms to look around the corners.
Then they thanked me for my time and went along their way.
Why yes, this is the most interesting thing to happen to me in well over a year. Not even going to conventions is this interesting :)
