OK. Everytime, EVERYTIME we receive a long break from schoolwork, the first day of that freedom falls right under the category of "can't put into words kinda day". Today was frankly astounding. I have come to the conclusion that trouble is always one step behind as well as a step ahead. Alright, good place to start. Luckily, I did not have school today, so I burn a good "Christmas Break" mix. The day was off to a good start. I had Applebee's with Brett, Clay, and Mandi. Couple of errands were ran, not too long, and then we head over to the spot that seems to start off everyday right, the Arboretum. There we meet up with Mike (whose car i jump in at a stoplight), David, and Michaelowe. Sooo, were in the parking lot, I am finishing up a cheese quaesadilla, then it happens. "Oh shit, a cop car is pullin up behind us", David. Next thing I know, I am against the hood in a hammer hold told to keep my hands down. Same with Michael and David, and Mike is getting yelled at like all hell by a policeman. Well after getting accused of threatening the cop's wife with a GUN and saying "Fuck You" to her, threatened by the cops saying they would kill us, and having Mike handcuffed and in the back of a squad car, somehow we finally resolve all of this. They were airsoft guns, not real. Nobody pointed or screamed anything at anybody. And realizing Mike was not even remotely linked to the situation, we do not even get an apology. It was over.
After we realize that the cop's wife is about a hundred feet away watching her manly husband protect her, we hightail it outta there downtown. After some frolicking around in the metropolitan area of Charlotte, we head to Penguin. A dinner full of good jukebox music, good conversations, guest appearances by Leah VanHalsema and Spencer "Alister" Gaddy, staring contests, blinking contests, and slapping games. Then we witness The Funniest Man Alive. Would go into, but nobody would even get close to seeing how funny the thirty minutes that we talked to this guy was.
Happy Holidays and Good Luck. It is in the books, stamp it.
