I've definitely not been a fun person to be around for the past few weeks. I repeatedly spiral from irritation to rage and then it ends in a self-pitying mess. I do not like it in the least, and I don't feel that's how a nearly 25 year old should be acting STILL. I can't even bring myself to tell about all of the things that are bothering me right now. It hurts too much. (I'm well aware of how emo that sounds.) Winter has a disturbing effect on my mood, that no amount of rational thinking can dispel. Ugh.
Anyways, today I got a kick in the teeth in the form of a deviant letting me know that my work had been claimed and was being SOLD on Etsy in the form of vinyl decals for laptops, ipods, etc. But just wait, you have to behold the irony (correct usage!) of the situation: Here are one of the few products they're selling.

I'll jog your memory:

So I don't have an Etsy account, and I'd really rather not have yet another location to visit regularly, which means I'm not able to report it as a violation to Etsy itself. I've posted about this on dA, and have also had some law savvy friends conjure up some copyright forms/cease and desist letters that I will be sending in a short while if the products are not removed. I know that Etsy can be very slow to remove offending items, so I worry that this may all be a lost cause.
And, to be honest, I'm baffled that all of the run-ins I've had with copyright infringement involve plagiarism of my pallanophs. Of all things, WHY? It adds insult to injury. I know I'll sound whiny when I say this, but it almost makes me regret having posted them in the first place. Augh.
Oh well. These things happen, don't they? I'll just keep fighting the good fight and thanking those that assist me.
