Brief Victory Post (It's not over yet)
Hey all... yes, I've been away for a while. Haven't been feeling the best emotionally as of late for various reasons, but I wanted to spare you all my whining so I stayed low. However, despite that, I managed something small today: I went to the DMV office yet again and this time successfully convinced them to let me get an I.D. instead of the driver's license. Wow, it really depends on who you talk to there, the other people insisted I get a driver's license and I was too disoriented from hunger/anxiety at the time to argue. So that's done... all wrapped up and my card should arrive within a month. I do wish it wasn't such a long time in coming, but I'll just tell myself it's the price I have to pay for taking so long to address this issue in the first place. Fffff. I swear I'll die of procrastination... wait a second, that's an interesting statement. How about procrastinating death? Ha!!!
As a gift to myself, I went and downloaded a whole bunch of music by Gustav Holst. This makes me very very happy. :D And I'll be going in to work today, and my co-workers won't hit me once they find out I've fixed the I.D. issue. I'm determined to make this day end on a positive note.
I'm not out of the woods yet, though... cover commission number 2 is lagging behind something fierce, and I want YOU to cheer me on to the finish line. I've got a few all nighters that I'll have to get through by the end of the month, but I've got to be smart about it. My allergies at this time of the year make me lethargic during certain times of the day.
I'll hopefully catch up on friends' entries at some point... I've been horribly negligent, but not out of lack of care/ concern. On the contrary! *hugs from me*
