New Moon celebration!
As you all know, or may not know, the second installment of the Twilight movies, New Moon, was released yesterday. My niece and I decided that we were going to pull a Twilight marathon and watch both movies. Furthermore, to make things funner we decided that we were going to eat Italian food and blueberry muffins had to be involved as well.
Little did she know that I was going to take things a little further, muahaha!!! I was going to decorate in a Twlight theme. I did have to tell her Friday because she had mentioned buying something that I was already planning on buying so was all like NO! DUN DO EET!
We had also decided to invite another girl along which meant that I needed to clean. My niece has already seen my apartment messy, so I would not have cleaned so much for her. But when people see my apartment for the first time, I try to have it make it's best impression. When we started with the girl's nights I did clean like mad everytime my nieces came over. But life being what it is made them see my apartment in its messy stages so now if I don't have time to clean, it's no biggie, LOL!
So I cleaned something like 5 hours. It wasn't so much that it was THAT dirty, but I needed to move stuff out of my regular rooms so that it wouldn't ruin the Twilight effect. My bedroom was of course off limits because that's where everything was moved to!
The actual setting up took about two hours. Mostly because things weren't cooperating with me. I was planning on taking pics of the night, but my niece and I were too hyper for me to remember about pics.
So I was planning on putting twinkling lights, but turns out that my Christmas lights don't twinkle, LOL! I was not in a Christmasy mood last December so I never put them up. And you can't really tell, but I found some of those decorative gems that are the color of Edward's eyes, so I stuck them in a vase!
This was my dinnertable. You'll have to imagine it with more food though. We had our dinner of course. (Me: Chicken alredo and my niece grilled steak? from the Olive Garden. Strawberries and whipped cream - whipped cream dyed in red - in a pretty platter my niece set up, veggie tray, and martini glasses with red drinks!)

It was much fun. Except after 4 hours of my niece and I bouncing and a twitter, we both crashed and we were half asleep by the time the second movie started. ROLF!
