Thursday night was a ton of fun, dancing to some Cuban groove with the red hot
veriobird ! I just wish that Steve's knee hadn't been so bad, so that he could boogie with us, instead of admiring us from his seat at the table. :) First time ever at Yoshi's (Oakland) - I love that place!! next time we'll actually get dinner.... Miss V, thanks so much for the faboo evening!
Starting to get pretty excited about GWW - Sturmbock is registered as a group, which means we'll get our own little land allocation: should be interesting playing tent tetris, which I've never actually done before (made a bunch of educated guesses, and set up some pretty nice camps, but never with hard boundaries...
So, this weekend is My Big Fat Slavic Family Reunion - I think it's going to be a super good time over in Santa Cruz (which is a little odd, since we all grew up here in San Jose!) and I'm really looking forward to it.
That's happening Sunday, so I'm spending tomorrow cleaning house in time for friends coming over to game on Monday. Steve is spending tomorrow finishing the new plumbing main line: in typical Fabe Fashion, now that he's fully engaged in making some progress downstairs, he's FULLY ENGAGED (those of you who've known him for years are probably laughing right now). I'm taking shameful advantage of his singlemindedness, because I know that everything will have to stop again when his next paying gig really takes off (which is just a few weeks away). SOOOOO exciting to see more than just little chipping away kinds of progress! Also in typical fashion, now that things are really in motion, he's coming up with all these creative solutions to some of the design stuff that's had him frustrated. Yeah for ending frustration!
Thinking about hitting Ren Faire with the fabulously wenchy
yolsgaard - maybe the weekend after this one. sound like fun to anyone else?
