"Well, Felix," Naminé mused, talking to her charge while she sketched, "I do hope you enjoyed your trip Out today. You got to see a very nice store, and visit with one of your parents. And I do believe it's good for you to see your father at work. How else are he and your mother to afford my services?"

Felix didn't reply. This was, presumably, because Felix was an egg wearing a tiny paper suit.

Felix's inability to reply did not stop Naminé from talking to him. This was, presumably, because Naminé was a touch odd and found such things highly amusing.
