Riku couldn't get his mind around it. Home? But ...
He'd fallen into Darkness. He couldn't go home and face everyone. Not like this.
And yet, when he'd pulled his hood down, Sora hadn't blinked. Maybe they'd be so happy to see him again that they wouldn't care ... that'd he'd unleashed the Darkness in his heart. Right.
At least they made it home safe and sound.
Riku pulled his hood up carefully. He had to go make sure Sora wasn't getting his butt kicked in Hollow Bastion.
When DiZ awoke, it was late afternoon. You couldn't tell from the light - light in Twilight Town always had that hazy late-day glow - but a quick glance at his pocket-watch confirmed it.
At first, he was furious. How dare they? Didn't any of them understand? She was a Nobody, and she was dangerous, and she was going to ruin everything. They would have to start over --

Nonsense. Idle rantings from an idiot boy.
One that he had helped to turn into his own worst fear.
The keyblade. The power of one's heart.
Maybe he'd been wrong from the start.
Maybe it was time to set things right.
DiZ sat for a long time, on the floor of the White Room, lost in thought.
The meeting of Organization XIII was somewhat gloomier than the last had been. Their captive had been stolen, right out from under their noses.
"I'll go back there, immediately," Xaldin said. "Search for traces. There might be a lead."
"Don't bother, Xaldin," said the Superior smugly. "We have no need of Naminé."
All eyes glanced up in surprise.
"Axel made a mistake." He smiled, cruelly. "And now we have a much more useful prisoner. One we needn't coerce into compliance."
One who could serve as bait.
Deep in the dungeons of a world that never was, in a dark purple cell, Kairi hugged her knees.
Sora would come for her. Sora would find her. Sooner or later.
... Right?
