True Love...
A bought my old man cat Ricci a set of steps for the bed. Hes 14 and getting stiff with arthritis. Its been hard to watch him hook his nail in the comforter and haul his ass up inch by inch. He always did this, as I recall, never was much of a jumper. But getting down has gotten increasingly worse. He goes to the edge and kinda flops off and his tail whumps real hard.
So, some weeks ago, A got Ricci a set of steps...and has proceeded to teach my old man cat how to climb up the steps. Sitting there and dangling his finger, promising pets at the top, putting his paws on the steps and promising pets at the top. Repeatedly.
This week, Ricci finally uses the steps freely. He goes right up and right down.
Thats true love right there.
