I know this place is dead, as is the rest of livejournal, but since I found this community I felt I had to ask: is skin bleaching/whitening permanent?  Like if I start lightening and reach a level that I want, and stay out of the sun/use sunscreen, will the results last? or does it have to be maintained constantly? I know this is a stupid question, but I recently started getting really uneven skin tone all over so it's not a problem I've had to deal with most of my life.
